What it is
Using AI As is a set of guides for people who want to use ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot in their day job. You pick your role, pick a task, and follow numbered steps with prompts you can copy as written. The rule running through every page is simple: the numbers and the decisions stay with your own systems and people, and AI drafts the words, the structure and the formulas.
Who it's for
I built it for people in UK finance teams, HR and office admin who'd like AI to take some of the drafting, but can't paste confidential or personal data into a chatbot and need to know which rules apply.
How it works
- Pick a role. Three role hubs, for finance, HR and office managers, rank what to hand to AI first, lowest risk first, and say what to keep human.
- Follow a task. Each task guide has numbered steps, copy-and-paste prompts and a checkpoint after every step telling you what you should now see.
- UK rules on the page. Pages cite primary sources such as the ICO, GOV.UK, Acas, Xero Central, Microsoft, OpenAI and Anthropic.
- Never paste this. Every hub lists what should never go into a consumer AI tool, and the examples use fictional companies.

FAQ
Can accountants use ChatGPT for finance work?
Yes, for the words and formulas around the numbers. Using AI As shows finance teams how to use ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot for formulas, checklists, queries and commentary drafts, while the figures come from the ledger and the bank and a person approves and posts everything.
Can I use ChatGPT for HR work without breaking UK GDPR?
Using AI As covers drafting job descriptions, HR policies and performance reviews with AI while decisions about people stay human. Its HR pages set out the UK GDPR and Equality Act points to check, and take legal minimums from GOV.UK and Acas rather than the AI.
Does the site recommend its publisher's own products?
Some pages on Using AI As mention products made by the studio that publishes it, such as ScriptGrain. They are always labelled as ours, never change what a guide tells you to do, and there are never more than three on a page.
